Global superstar LISA (lalisa manoban) continues her reign of dominance with another solo triumph. Her latest single, “ROCKSTAR,” has officially achieved over 100,000 units sold in the United States, solidifying its place in the music industry’s largest market.
This impressive achievement marks LISA’s fourth single to reach this milestone, following in the footsteps of her previous hits “Lalisa” and “Money” from her 2021 solo debut, and “SHOONG!” her 2024 collaboration with BIGBANG’s Taeyang.
For those unfamiliar with music industry terminology, “units” refer to a system used by Digital Service Providers (DSPs) to track digital music sales, encompassing both streaming and download figures across various platforms.
Each download equates to one unit sold, while 1,500 streams contribute to a single unit. With iTunes downloads priced at $1.29, this equates to an estimated value of $129,000 (approximately 4.6 million baht) for LISA’s “ROCKSTAR” in the U.S. alone.
LISA’s success with “ROCKSTAR” within the American market is particularly noteworthy, as she continues to break language barriers as a non-native English speaker. The single debuted at an impressive #70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a testament to its widespread appeal.
”ROCKSTAR” now holds the title of LISA’s highest-charting solo single on the Hot 100, surpassing her previous entries “LALISA” (peaking at #84) and “MONEY” (#90).
Furthermore, “ROCKSTAR” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, #4 on the Global 200 chart, #2 on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, #7 on the main Digital Song Sales chart, and #19 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.
LISA also made a triumphant return to Billboard’s Artist 100 chart at #84, marking her second week appearing on this prestigious list.
