The entertainment world is buzzing! BLACKPINK’s Lisa Manoban is officially stepping into the action genre for her first feature film role, joining Korean cinema heavyweight Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) and acclaimed actor Lee Jin-wook in the highly anticipated Netflix blockbuster, ‘TYGO.’
In a major announcement, Netflix confirmed the A-list casting for ‘TYGO,’ a large-scale action epic set within the same cinematic universe as Netflix’s most successful film franchise, Extraction (starring Chris Hemsworth).
The film is being produced by Big Punch Pictures and AGBO (the production company co-founded by the Russo Brothers, who produced Extraction), with Nova Film Inc and B&C Group co-producing.
‘TYGO’ marks a return to Netflix for Don Lee, following his global success with the The Roundup franchise and his powerful introduction to the Marvel Universe in Eternals. Lee Jin-wook, known for his compelling performances in hit series like Sweet Home and Squid Game 3, completes the powerhouse trio.
For Lisa, this project is not just a debut but a significant leap in her acting career, following her highly praised performance in the upcoming third season of the HBO series, The White Lotus. The global superstar had previously expressed her interest in taking on an action role, and now that dream is coming true on a massive stage.
In a statement, Lisa shared her excitement:
“I am incredibly honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such amazing actors. Acting in an action film has always been a dream of mine, so making my film debut with such an exciting project is truly special.”

‘TYGO’ is an action-thriller set in the same gritty world as the successful Extraction franchise. This new installment centers on TYGO (played by Don Lee), a former child soldier turned mercenary. The plot follows his journey into the Korean underworld on a mission of revenge after one of his operations goes disastrously wrong.
While Lisa’s specific role remains under wraps, her involvement ensures that ‘TYGO’ will be a major global event, drawing in fans of high-octane action and K-pop alike.
